Puyang Tian

Puyang Tian obtained his bachelor degree in chemistry from the University of Edinburgh in 2020. In the same year, Puyang moved to Switzerland and joined Prof. Cristina Nevado’s group at the University of Zürich (UZH) for master study. His 2.5 year master research focused on the novel cyclometalated gold(III) complexes, providing mechanistic insight into formation of zwitterion species and photoisomerization. Puyang received his master degree in chemical and molecular science from UZH in January 2023. Since March 2023, he has been a PhD student at the Laboratory of Energy Science and Engineering, ETH Zürich, where he studies the catalytic hydrodealkylation of aromatics.
