Dominik Richert

Dominik Richert studied Chemistry at Newcastle University, where he graduated with Bachelor (2021) and Master (2022) degrees. During Master's research project, he worked in dr John Errington's group on investigating plasmonic properties of polyoxometalate decorated gold and copper nanoparticles. After graduation, Dominik joined Johnson Matthey's Purification team. His work focused on development of sorbents for purification of natural gas from hydrogen sulphide and syngas from iron pentacarbonyl. In October 2023, he joined the Laboratory of Energy Science and Engineering at ETH Zürich as PhD student. His research concentrates on development of amyloid fibrils based sorbent for Direct Air Capture of carbon dioxide.
