Dr. Mischa Repmann

During my MSc ETH in Environmental Sciences I investigated the injection of CO₂-rich waste waters at a geothermal power plant in Iceland. This triggered my interest in CCS and CO₂ mineralization. The goal of my research is to design a mineralization process that removes CO₂ from a flue gas and converts it into a durable, marketable carbonate product - thus combining the elements of CO₂ capture, storage and utilization. In parallel, I promote outreach activities, e.g. via the CCS dissemination project Carbon Storage Showcase.

Before starting the PhD, I authored the Downloadstatus report for CCS in Switzerlandvertical_align_bottom on behalf of the BAFU (2008). Then, I was a researcher within the CARMA project (2009-2012), I contributed to the Downloadroadmap for a CCS pilot project in Switzerlandvertical_align_bottom (2013), and became a member of the external pageSCCER-SoEcall_made (2014).
