Fabio Widmer

Fabio Widmer received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in mechanical engineering (with distinction) from ETH Zurich in 2015 and 2017, respectively. During his studies, he was focusing on electric mobility and energy flows. He was actively involved of ETH's formula student team AMZ for several years, where student teams from various universities compete with self-developed electric race cars. Mr. Widmer was the recipient of two Outstanding Bachelor Awards and has been awarded a scholarship under the Excellence Scholarship and Opportunity Programme from ETH Zürich.

He is currently working towards his Ph.D. degree with the Institute for Dynamic Systems and Control (IDSC), ETH Zürich. His research interests include model-based optimization of (combined) thermal and energy management of electrified public transport vehicles.
