Florian Baader studied mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University in Germany specializing in energy and systems engineering. He earned his master’s degree in 2018 for his thesis on model-based hierarchical control of hybrid hydrogen-battery energy storages.
Since 2018, Florian Baader has been a PhD student in the group of Prof. André Bardow, first at the Institute for Energy Systems Engineering (IEK-10) at Forschungszentrum Jülich and since 2022 at the Energy and Process Systems Engineering Group at ETH Zürich. His research focuses on simultaneous scheduling optimization of production processes and multi-energy systems in real time.
