Studies
Mechanical Engineering
The degree programme provides a comprehensive education with a strong academic foundation, with opportunities for further specialisation in forward-looking fields of application. It combines the fundamentals of mathematics, physics and chemistry with subjects including mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, materials science, electrical engineering, computer science and engineering design. In addition, interdisciplinary fields such as mechatronics, robotics, biomedical engineering, process engineering and energy technology are becoming increasingly important within mechanical engineering. The aim of the programme is to equip graduates with the skills required to develop complex systems and components.
Diverse fields of application
Mechanical engineering encompasses a wide range of fields of application, from production processes and sustainable energy technologies to automotive engineering, aerospace, medical technology, robotics, drone technology and autonomous vehicles.
