D-MAVT at the WEF 2018

“RETHINKING INTELLIGENCE“ is the motto of the ETH Zurich exhibition in Davos. From D-MAVT a 3D printed brain designed by the Engineering Design and Computing Lab, and ANYmal, a robotic dog from the Robotic Systems Lab, will be present at the WEF.

In Davos, a 3D printed brain designed and fabricated by Prof. Kristina Shea, Tian Chen and Jung-Chew Tse from the Engineering Design and Computing Laboratory is being exhibited. Until 25 January 2018, visitors can experience the magic of the human mind in augmented reality around the 3D printed brain and are invited to imagine a future that 3D prints artificial organs.

In addition, visitors can watch how ANYmal, an autonomous search and rescue robot, can map its environment and navigate its path – even in snow and on ice. ETH Zurich's Robotic Systems Lab designed ANYmal for autonomous operation in challenging environments such as the industrial inspection of oil and gas sites.
