RWB Stephens Prize
Two doctoral students from the research group of Jürg Dual, Professor at the Institute for Mechanical Systems, received awards at the International Congress on Ultrasonics in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Thierry Baasch was awarded the RWB Stephens Prize for his talk on “Acoustofluidic multibody simulations of hydro-dynamically and acoustically interacting particles beyond the Rayleigh limit”. Valentin van Gemmeren received an honorable mention for the RWB Stephens Prize for his talk on “How to induce dynamic fracture by focusing flexural waves”. The prize is sponsored by the journal Ultrasonics and its publisher Elsevier.
