Gold for medical innovations from Multi-Scale Robotics Lab
A team of students from the Multi-Scale Robotics Lab wins gold at the EMediC Global 2018, a worldwide competition in engineering medical innovations.
Dave Gage, Alexandra Gehring, David Guralnick and Quentin Boehler from the MSR lab at the Department of Mechanical und Process Engineering successfully participated in the external page EMedIC Global 2018 competition. The team's clinical partner is Peter Biro, professor at the Institute of Anesthesiology at University Hospital Zurich. The MSRL team received the "The Gold Award for the Overall Achievement" and the "Clinical Readiness Award" for the development of a "Robotic Endoscope Automated Via Laryngeal Imaging For Tracheal Intubation" at the award ceremony in Hong Kong in August 2018. 50 teams from all around the world had handed in their projects.
