Maria Sakovsky appointed Assistant Professor

Maria Sakovsky, postdoctoral fellow at the Laboratory of Composite Materials and Adaptive Structures of Professor Paolo Ermanni at the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering of ETH Zurich, has been appointed Assistant Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics (Tenure Track) at Stanford University.

In her research, Sakovsky investigates the coupling between shape and function to create multi-functional reconfigurable structures. Applications of her research include spacecraft structures, reconfigurable antennas, and robotics. She starts her new position in California (USA) on 1 January 2022.
