Researchers from the Autonomous Systems Lab honored at ICRA

Roland Siegwart, head of the Autonomous Systems Lab (ASL), and Samir Bouabdallah received the Most Influential Paper Award at ICRA 2023. Andrei Cramariuc, also from ASL, won the Hilti Multi-Session SLAM Challenge.

The external pageInternational Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) is considered the largest and most prestigious event in robotics and automation. This summer, over 6,000 participants from 66 countries gathered at the conference in London.

Samir Bouabdallah, co-founder of external pageFlybotix and former researcher at ASL, and Roland Siegwart, head of ASL and professor in the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering, received the Most Influential Paper Award for their groundbreaking work on quadrotor control. Andrei Cramariuc, Postdoctoral Researcher at ASL, won the prestigious external pageHilti Multi-Session SLAM Challenge at ICRA 2023.
