Outstanding doctoral thesis
Moritz Flaschel, former doctoral student of the Computational Mechanics Group led by Professor Laura De Lorenzis, receives numerous awards for his dissertation.
He was honored with the external pageDr.-Klaus-Körper-Preis 2024 from the GAMM (Gesellschaft für Angewandte Mathematik und Mechanik), the external pageSWICCOMAS Prize 2024 from the Swiss Community for Computational Methods in Applied Sciences, as well as the external pageECCOMAS PhD Award 2023 from the European Community for Computational Methods in Applied Sciences. The topic of his dissertation is "Automated Discovery of Material Models in Continuum Solid Mechanics".
