Prototypes for Humanity Award

The ANGIE research project was honored with the «Prototypes for Humanity Award» in the «Health» category. At the Multi-Scale Robotics Lab of the D-MAVT, Fabian Landers and his team are developing magnetically controlled microcapsules that precisely release drugs in the human body.

The «Prototypes for Humanity Award» recognizes research projects that address global social and environmental challenges. Six prototypes from ETH Zurich and EPFL were shortlisted from over 2,700 submissions and presented their research during the three-day exhibition in Dubai. The ANGIE research project received the top prize in the «Health» category, endowed with $ 20,000, which was presented to ANGIE project leader Fabian Landers on 19 November 2024. The Multi-Scale Robotics Lab is led by Professors Bradley Nelson and Salvador Pané i Vidal.
