The National ORD Prize honors Swiss researchers for their innovative approaches in the field of Open Research Data (ORD) and promotes the shift towards a transparent and accessible research culture. Through the «openwashdata» initiative, Tilley and her team are promoting the reuse of data in the field of water, sanitation and hygiene, making a significant contribution to open research practices. «openwashdata» also promotes networking and awareness of open research data by offering free courses on data management.

The National ORD Prize was presented to Tilley and Colin Walder (Data Steward for the Global Health Engineering Group at ETH Zurich) on 27 November 2024 in Bern.
