Curriculum vitae
Before Chenyu joined the CSFM at ETH Zurich, she obtained her PhD in the Chair of Cartography and Visual Analytics at the external page Technical University of Munich advised by external page Profesor Liqiu Meng in 2022. Her monograph PhD thesis earning her 'magna cum laude' honors was titled Map-based Dashboard for Social Environment Understanding. Previously, she received her M.Sc. degree from the external page International Master of Science Programme in Cartography, which is organized by the Technical University of Munich, external page Vienna University of Technology, external page Dresden University of Technology, and the external page University of Twente. Prior to that, she received her B.Sc. degree in Remote Sensing from external page Wuhan University.
Research area
Chenyu is a postdoctoral research fellow at ETH Zurich. Her research interests lie at the intersection between visual analytics, geodata mining, and cognition science. She aims to support interpretable, accountable, and trustworthy human-centered computing environments using visualizations.
