ETH researchers have received this year’s Swiss Technology Award for their technology “Mesh Mould”, winning the most important Swiss prize for innovation and technology transfer in the “Inventors” category.

Redesigning baggage-claim carousels
The New York Times Magazine examined in its November issue the pros and cons of the current redesign mania. Working with Paola Antonelli, the senior curator of architecture and design at the Museum of Modern Art, they commissioned six designers around the world to reimagine objects and to improve them. Prof. Raffaello D'Andrea developed a new baggage-claim carousel for airports.
