FreeNovation Grant 2017 for CSElab
Petros Koumoutsakos, Chair of the Computational Science and Engineering Laboratory (CSElab), and his research group win a Novartis FreeNovation 2017 Grant.
For their project "Data Driven and Physics Based Reverse Engineering of Tendons: From Molecules to Tissues" Professor Petros Koumoutsakos, Dr. Eduardo Cruz-Chu and Dr. Nikolaos Karathanasopoulos received a Novartis FreeNovation 2017 Grant.
With FreeNovation Novartis provides funding opportunities for innovative, substantial-risk projects that have the potential to open up novel research directions. It is aimed at researchers in Switzerland whose unusual questions and solutions have a hard time getting funded by established programs. This year, 12 projects in the areas of Drug Design, Targeted Drug Delivery, and Tissue Engineering & Biomaterials were selected by a top-class international jury.
