Alexander Tanno has been awarded an ETH Pioneer Fellowship for the development of a quick and easy-to-use home blood test. His technology could also play an important role in a pandemic.

Alexander Tanno originally studied mechanical engineering at ETH Zurich before pursuing a master's degree in biomedical engineering. He then worked on biological tests for his doctoral thesis. Having been awarded a Pioneer Fellowship in January 2020, he and Yves Blickenstorfer now want to develop the technology into a marketable product with his start-up "Hemetron". external page Read moreexternal page
