Insight for bright minds
Quizzical glances, astounded faces; high school students are hustling and bustling in the ETH main building. That was the atmosphere at the Student Information Days on 7 and 8 September 2022, on-site for the first time since 2019.
D-MAVT was present at the exhibition with the focus project SOWA, a solar-powered water purification system, mainly to be used in developing countries, and the innovation project "Moop". Students as well as the student administration were available to answer questions about student life and the curriculum.
Most of the presentations for the Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering program were fully occupied. Professor André Bardow, Professor Melanie Zeilinger and Professor Giovanni Sansavini provided the high school students with information about the content and curriculum of the Bachelor’s program.
In the afternoons, Professor Robert Katzschmann gave a lecture on the development of artificial muscles for robots, which was met with great interest. The visitors were also given the opportunity to go on tour at a laboratory of choice.
