Robotics researchers honored
The NCCR Robotics honors young female researchers with the "Swiss Robotics Master Award" during the Swiss Robotics Day. With this award, the NCCR aims to increase the visibility and opportunities for women in robotics. Eight awardees graduated from the Robotics, Systems and Control Master's program at the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering.
Yunfan Gao, Soo Min Lee, Charlotte Nicole Lucie Moraldo, Miriam Müller, Defne Ege Ozan, Rahel Rickenbach, Federica Elen Spinola and Silvia Viviani received the awards for their theses in the course of their Robotics Master’s studies at D-MAVT. Michelle Rüegg was also honored, as robotics was a major focus of her Master's thesis. Other prizes went to female Master's graduates from EPFL.
The Award was initiated by the National Centre of Competence in Research (NCCR) Robotics. The NCCR wants to promote outstanding female students in the field of robotics. The award ceremony took place during the Swiss Robotic Day on 4 November 2022 in Lausanne.
