LEVA
Project
After a physically demanding working life, back problems are not uncommon. Lifting heavy objects, in particular, often causes long-term damage. Therefore, in the "LEVA" focus project, twelve students from ETH Zurich, ZHdK, and ZHAW are developing a robot capable of independently lifting and carrying crates. "LEVA" combines the agility of quadruped robots with the efficiency of wheels. This design enables the robot to operate both in tight indoor spaces and rough terrain. "LEVA" aims to make work on construction sites, in agriculture, and in intralogistics safer and more efficient.
