Swissloop
Project
The goal of the Swissloop project is to further develop the CO2-neutral high-speed Hyperloop system. The basic idea is that a capsule-like vehicle, called a “pod”, travels at speeds of up to 1000 km/h through an airless tube. With the help of electromagnets, the pod floats over the rails without any contact and thus experiences neither air nor rolling resistance. Every year, the students develop a new prototype of the pod and rail system, which they then present at the “European Hyperloop Week”. Teams from all over the world compete against each other in the international competition and are judged by a jury of industry representatives.
